A Royal Vsit

Seven years after Prince Charles visited the studio; we were delighted to be informed that Princess Alexandra had requested to visit the Coalport China Museum and our studio following the opening ceremony of the new Severn Hospice in Telford. After watching the production process of ‘Eden’ Jonathan presented HRH with a delightful silver cameo vase carved with the ‘Magnolia’ flower.



The Princess was more than a little surprised to be given the piece and asked Jonathan more than once ‘are you sure’. Royal visits are always run on a very tight schedule, but the Princess was so taken with everything in our shop that she stayed well over the allocated time and purchased several items for herself and family and what a friendly and down to earth royal customer she is!
